Q. Has CatchBan completed Developer ID signing and official Apple notarization?
Yes. All public download versions are officially signed using a Developer ID and notarized via official Apple notarization. Please download with confidence and launch safely from Applications.
Q. Do I need to place my asset library on the primary system drive? Does it support external drives?
No. CatchBan allows you to freely specify your asset library location. We strongly recommend setting up your library on an external mobile SSD or high-performance NAS, taking up zero primary system drive space.
Q. Will my local media and organized data be lost after upgrading to future versions?
Not at all. CatchBan utilizes a local offline storage architecture—all your video files and archiving databases are saved in your specified local directories. Existing assets and organized data will be inherited smoothly and completely across future updates.
